Crear is a special place within a magical landscape. Originally a byre, the main studio is larger than a tennis court and is lit by a continuous glass wall overlooking the Paps of Jura - the ideal venue for a party. With uninterrupted views to the Isles of Islay, Jura, and Gigha, and the lighthouses of Rathlin Island, you and your guests can enjoy complete privacy in warm and stylish surroundings.
As one of the most romantic exclusive use venues in Scotland, every party hosted at Crear is completely unique and each booking bespoke, tailored to your exact requirements by Carole Fitzgerald and Stephanie Parsons, the Crear Wedding Event Managers. Carole and Stephanie both have a wealth of experience, and will be happy to advise you in planning your perfect day.
We have three twin bedrooms, two king-sized double bedrooms and one bunkroom, all with en-suite bath or shower room - space for twelve in all. Just along the road, Banlongart House sleeps twelve and is the perfect place for a relaxed family gathering and get together the night before your wedding.
There are plenty of B&Bs, guest houses, and hotels to accommodate all your guests locally, within walking distance along the B8024, and in the villages of Tarbert and Ardrishaig. If it is a late night, a bus service can be arranged to ensure everyone has a safe journey home.
Crear is fully licensed for weddings and civil partnerships, including the grounds surrounding the house, all the way down to the sandy beach. If you choose to have your ceremony followed by a reception at Crear, you are welcome to invite up to 70 guests, or up to 100 for a reception only. (For those of you wanting to escape the pressures of family and friends, and to tie the knot with just the two of you, Caisealrag at Crear is ideal).
As we want you to enjoy your wedding day refreshed and relaxed, we invite you to arrive the day before and enjoy a special evening with your house party of family and friends.
With so much to do around and about, you and your guests can also enjoy sailing, walking, cycling, riding, fishing and golf. Even then, time rarely allows you to get the most from your experience of Crear, which is why we have created the ‘Final Fling.’

We are happy to advise on availability of dates at any time, however, as the diary changes daily, we regret we can hold provisional bookings for only 7 days.
